  25.  Do you keep forgetting about  birthdays, anniversaries and other important
  26.  events?
  27.  
  28.  Well, there are plenty of public  domain  products on the market that will
  29.  prevent that from happening.
  30.  
  31.  But, do you also want to
  32.  - keep track of the remaining days to important events?
  33.  - keep track of the days since important events happened?
  34.  - automatically start programs depending on the date and time?
  35.  - be reminded every # day (e.g. every 14th day)?
  36.  - be reminded # days before or after the event
  37.  - be reminded once a day, every time you reboot, before or after a certain
  38.    date, before or after a certain hour or minute?
  39.  - be reminded about events until you acknowledge them?
  40.  - be reminded with requesters, alerts or  practically anything that can be
  41.    displayed on an Amiga-monitor?
  42.  - display unlimited  lines  of  text  in  the  same  requester/alert (only
  43.    limited by the screen's resolution and memory)
  44.  - group different events in the same requester or alert?
  45.  - keep a simple database of the birthdays of family and friends?
  46.  - let your Amiga keep track of how  old  people are by insterting the date
  47.    of birth in the middle of the string  where you want to display the age?
  48.    (E.g. the text "Adam is {080570} years today" will be displayed as "Adam
  49.    is 23 years today".)
  50.  - make advanced events which are  displayed  for example after 21:00 every
  51.    3rd day the  first  7  days  of  every  2nd month the next 4 years?
  52.  - combine all of the attributes mentioned above in the same event?
  53.  - enter these events in an easy-to-use environment and without the need of
  54.    programming-knowledge, just by entering the  desired text and pressing a
  55.    few buttons?

  57.  Well, then you will  find  this  program  extremely useful, because Recall
  58.  will do exactly  that  for  you!   It  is  an easy-to-use, intuition-based
  59.  utility for the absent-minded!

  61.  It is simply the BEST reminder-utility available for the Amiga.

  63. NEW FEATURES
  64.  
  65.  These are the changes since V2.0:

  67.  Recall:
  68.  NEW All  binaries  and  the  installation-script  is  localized.  English,
  69.      german and norwegian catalogs are included.
  70.  NEW Recall speeded up 30%!!!
  71.  NEW All binaries has reduced in size!  Rewritten to use tiny ROM-routines!
  72.  NEW Postponing events!  If you put off an  event, it will keep nagging you
  73.      until you acknowledge it!
  74.  NEW Updating event's attributes is now speeded up in Preferences.
  75.  NEW Safer IFF-saving.
  76.  NEW Settings menu-item: Confirm executables?
  77.  NEW Recall requesters now state the  current  date  in their titles.  Uses
  78.      the selected dateformat.
  79.  NEW Recall uses less memory than before!
  80.  NEW Rearranged the GUI a little:  The date and time are separated from the
  81.      text-group, the getfile-gadget now  uses  the button-background set in
  82.      MUIprefs.
  83.  NEW The  day-of-the-month  gadgets  are  now   of  BOOL  type  (like  Time
  84.      Preferences).
  85.  NEW The calendar can now be controlled from the keyboard.
  86.  FIX Events with x days BEFORE  or  AFTER  were  not displayed.
  87.  FIX Acknowledging alerts did not  work,  unless  'Acknowledge events?' was
  88.      NOT checked.  This  bug  did  not  appear  when  the  binaries was not
  89.      optimized by the compiler... Strange...
  90.  FIX The GUI of the installation-script was  messy  if  you did not use the
  91.      Topaz.font
  92.  FIX The GetFile-gadget did not work!
  93.  FIX GetFile did not allocate it's memory properly.
  94.  FIX The GetFile-gadget was not documented.
  95.  FIX Purging did not remove all the events that it should.
  96.  FIX Corrected several bugs regarding  ghosted  buttons  and  the update of
  97.      attributes.
  98.  FIX One node in  the  documentation  of  Recall  was  not linked properly.
  99.  FIX Recall and Recall Preferences did not  deallocate all used memory when
  100.      terminating.
  101.  FIX Recall crashed if Use ReqTools? was checked but not available!
  102.  FIX Events set to whenever or anytime did  not show if BEFORE or AFTER was
  103.      selected.
  104.  FIX The stringgadgets do no  longer  get  activated  when  selecting a new
  105.      event/text from the listviews, making  it  easier  to use the keyboard
  106.      short-cuts.
  107.  FIX Recall Preferences do no longer  ask  for  a  file to import or export
  108.      when SYS:Tools/ReConverter is not available...
  109.  FIX Changed the name of some  items.   'Whenever' and 'Anytime' changed to
  110.      'Every day' and  'All  day',  respectively.   'Once  a  day'  has been
  111.      changed to 'Daily'.
  112.  FIX Enforcer Hit when accidentally loading certain non Recall IFF-files.
  113.  FIX All output to shell from Recall will  now be routed to the same shell-
  114.      window!

  116.  Converter:
  117.  FIX The default source is now "ENVARC:in  file" and default destination is
  118.      "ENVARC:out file", making it easier to access the ENVARC: drawer.
  119.  FIX Import  from  ASCII  interpreted  the  date  and  time  values  wrong.
  120.  FIX Enforcer Hit when accidentally  loading  certain  non Recall IFF-files
  121.      (such as ReqTools.prefs).
  122.  FIX It was not possible to save the converted file under the default name.

  126.    OS 2.04 or higher. The binaries will take advantage of Kickstart 3.0 and
  127.    68020+ processors if found.
  128.    OS 2.1 or higher for localization.
  129.    MUI V1.4 or higher.
  130.    Harddisk is recommended for unpacking the complete distribution.
